Time as Healer.

Time as Healer:

I must confess, I've always been skeptical of the notion that "time heals all wounds." In my opinion, time alone doesn't have the power to heal us; it's merely a passive bystander as we navigate our pain. I'd like to share a story that might illustrate my point.

The Story

Once upon a time, a young boy suffered immense pain after losing his beloved horse. His mother consoled him, saying, "Don't worry, everything will be fine with time." But the boy didn't understand how time could alleviate his pain. He became determined to find Time itself and demand answers.

After searching far and wide, the boy finally stumbled upon a mysterious castle. Inside, he found a vast library filled with shelves upon shelves of jars, each containing different types of pain and suffering. Suddenly, a figure appeared before him - Time itself.

Time revealed that it collects pain and suffering, but also takes a part of the person with it. The boy, eager to be free from his pain, agreed to let Time take it away. Time fulfilled its promise, but the boy soon felt an emptiness inside, a void where the pain once resided. He realized that this emptiness would always be there, waiting for another pain to occupy it.

The boy encountered Time again and asked why he felt so empty. Time replied, "My job is to take your pain, but you must heal yourself. I don't have the power to heal; only you can do that. People often wait for me to make everything right, but I can't. If you want to be healed, try to deal with your pain yourself. Don't wait for Time or anyone else to heal you, because no one can do that for you."

The Main Point

This story highlights the importance of self-healing and taking responsibility for our own emotional well-being. Time may alleviate our pain, but it's up to us to fill the voids left behind and work towards true healing. In my opinion, time alone doesn't heal us; it's our own efforts and actions that bring about true recovery.

While my storytelling skills may not be perfect, I hope this tale has conveyed my message. When we're suffering, we often want to escape our pain as quickly as possible. However, the best approach is to face our pain head-on and work through it. Healing is a natural process that requires our active participation. Time may accompany us on this journey, but it's up to us to take the first step towards true healing. By acknowledging our pain and taking responsibility for our own recovery, we can truly begin to heal and move forward.
